My experience in WCOPA was an experience that I will never forget. Over the week when WCOPA took place, I learned so much those few days. On the days of the competition, I learned that you have to be on time every time. Hustling is one of the most important things when competing in a place like this, but the most important part is precision and your enjoyment on the stage. If you do not show both qualities then to the judges’ eyes it seems like you didn't choose to be on stage nor do you enjoy and love performing.
The most memorable experience for me is the family that you make. It was only a few days, but It seems like you have known your group for several years, together they will support you and you would do the same for each other, that's the magic of this competition. In its entirety, I have enjoyed and learned so much from this experience that will become a memory I can reminisce about. WCOPA 2018 was the most exhilarating experience in my lifetime. Seeing all teams converge at the hotel on day one, wearing their colours, chanting, cheering and bursting with pride and joy, is simply unforgettable. The Parade of Nations and the party atmosphere that followed will be forever engraved in my mind. WCOPA..... what an experience! Performing at WCOPA was an unforgettable experience, and I am genuinely awed by the versatility of participating artists from all over the world! The WCOPA virtual event was well organized and executed and the Team Canada leadership and guidance were impeccable. I can firmly say this was a memorable event and a worthy achievement for me as a junior dancer! WCOPA has given me a great boost in confidence and a great feeling of competence; learning from others as well as the scouts and national director has pushed me into a new path and passion that I never would have thought I would be going towards! The WCOPA experience was unforgettable specially at this time. It’s going to be remembered forever and for me competing for the first time, that was a good feeling! Joining WCOPA and representing Canada was, is, and will always be an honour. It’s a once-in-a lifetime experience! The WCOPA experience was amazing and memorable, I learned a lot from our scouts and from our national director, regarding what songs fit you and what to improve! Competing at the 2019 Long Beach WCOPA Competition was one of the most nerve-wracking yet fulfilling experiences I have ever experienced! The WCOPA virtual event was an unforgettable experience ever to me at my young age. Competing was such a good feeling, especially with winning a bronze medal in the modelling category. Thank you to my talent scout and our national director! As a contestant of WCOPA 2019 and 2020, I am proud to say that I have seen my love for music gradually grow by meeting new amazing and talented people through my experiences in WCOPA. Proudly representing my country, Canada, at WCOPA opened a door of opportunities for me and helped me realize that my passion and my talent would inspire people around the world. My experience from WCOPA left me with wonderful memories and lessons that helped me build my confidence, especially on stage. Being a part of WCOPA 2020 was truly an amazing experience and I will treasure it for the rest of my life. The best part was definitely working with my Team Canada’s National Director Mr. Anton Tajanlangit and scouts. All of their help and efforts are much appreciated. Our WCOPA experience was definitely one we will never forget. We were so excited to compete with so many excellent performers from all over the world! The WCOPA Canada workshops created a fun community for people who also have a strong passion for the arts. We learned so many things from the Team Canada national director and all the scouts that helped us improve our performances and encourage us to go for more categories! WCOPA 2018 was a life-changer for me. Not only an eye-opener to so much talents out there but a road to experience to achieve dreams and goals. One single event that teaches you a lot of things and mold you into being a better artist and person. It unifies artists from different countries to compete in a friendly manner and be a sport to any result. Representing not only yourself but your country makes it even better. Either you go home with a medal or not, everyone still wins with the experience and friends they get after the event. It’s definitely something to remember and cherish for life! The WCOPA was a fun and memorable way for my whole family (Joanne, Annabelle, Ivan, and me) to participate together, along with nice helpful scouts and fellow contestants who helped us all improve our crafts to new heights! Joining the virtual WCOPA 2020 is my most memorable experience in the performing arts. It is an honour and privilege to have shared the "online stage" with talented people across the world. I am truly grateful for the people who helped organize the event and supported me all throughout this opportunity of a lifetime! |
